SwiftPDF Signer - Support
Help, common questions, and how to reach us.
About this app
SwiftPDF Signer is a native iPad and iPhone app for filling out and signing PDF forms in person, then uploading the signed copies to your own Dropbox account. It's designed for kiosk-style use: hand a customer the iPad, they sign with their finger or an Apple Pencil, and the signed PDF lands in a dedicated folder in your Dropbox.

Quick start
- Open the app and tap "Connect Dropbox." This opens the official Dropbox sign-in page so the app can save signed PDFs to your account. The app only sees a single dedicated folder named
/Apps/SwiftPDF Signer/; it cannot read or modify anything else in your Dropbox. - Or tap "Try Demo (no sign-in required)." A demo mode lets you walk through the entire fill-and-sign flow without an account. No data is uploaded in demo mode.
- Tap a template in the library to start filling. The app ships with a bundled sample template. To add your own, tap "New Template" or save a customized copy from any existing one.
- Capture a signature, then tap "Save." The app flattens the form to PDF, names it
{Form} - {Signer} [{Date}].pdf, and uploads it to your Dropbox.
Common questions
What permissions does the app need?
The app uses Face ID (or your device passcode) to gate administrative actions - opening Settings, managing templates, or disconnecting Dropbox - so a customer holding the iPad cannot reach those screens. The app does not access your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
Where are signed PDFs stored?
Inside the folder /Apps/SwiftPDF Signer/Signed/ in your own Dropbox account. The app does not store signed PDFs on a server we operate - it has no servers.
How do I switch Dropbox accounts?
From the template library, tap the "…" menu in the top-right, then Disconnect Dropbox. The app will ask for Face ID first. Once disconnected, tap Connect Dropbox on the welcome screen to sign in with a different account.
Can I edit a template after creating it?
Yes. From the template library, tap Manage, then the pencil icon on any template. The editor opens a freeform editing view where you can change the name, header defaults, and body text. Save to upload the updated template to Dropbox; every iPad signed in to the same account picks up the change on next refresh.
The app says it can't reach Dropbox. What do I do?
This usually means the device has lost its internet connection or the connection is slow. Pull down on the template list to refresh, or check your Wi-Fi or cellular signal in iOS Settings. If the problem persists, email us at the address above.
The Connect Dropbox button is disabled.
If "Connect Dropbox" never responds, the device may be missing a passcode. The app requires the device to have a passcode set (iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode) so administrative actions can be gated. Set a passcode, then return to the app and try again.
